Lee Hills

Lee joined Mayo Wynne Baxter in August 2008 from a major regional law firm where he was head of the liability insurance department and travel sector team. Lee is recognised as an expert in travel and aviation liability and defendant liability claims by Legal 500 and Chambers and described as 'a leader in the field of travel law'. His clients include a range of tour operators, travel agents, insurers, brokers and companies serving the travel industry. An accredited mediator in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), Lee is also a member of numerous industry and business associations including the Forum of Insurance Lawyers, The Institute of Travel and Tourism, The Travel and Tourism Lawyers Association (committee member), The International Forum of Travel and Tourism Advocates and is an ABTA travel industry partner. Lee is also the head of the Litigation team.

Chris Randall - Managing Partner.

Chris Randall - Managing Partner

Chris is the firm's Managing Partner and is responsible for the overall running of the firm and its commitment to growth and delivering exceptional client care. An experienced litigation lawyer, Chris specialises in Commercial Law and Property Litigation and is an APIL accredited Senior Litigator.

Barry Davis.

Barry Davis

Barry qualified in 1984 after studying Law at the University of London. He joined the firm in 1985, working on Criminal Law, Family Law and general litigation. Barry now specialises in Civil and Commercial Litigation and also heads up the firm’s Personal Injury Team. He is currently based at the firm's Eastbourne office after four years in Tunbridge Wells.

Dean Orgill.

Dean Orgill

Dean undertakes contract based litigation representing sectors such as building, manufacturing, and brewing. He is also experienced in professional negligence work having acted against other solicitors, accountants and surveyors. Dean is based at the firm’s Brighton office and is head of the firm’s licensing team.

Helen Bell.

Helen Bell

Helen advises both commercial and private clients in relation to disputes arising out of contract and negligence and particularly specialises in property litigation. Helen’s experience in property disputes include disputes on title, adverse possession, rights of way and boundary disputes, obtaining possession from tenants, licensees or squatters and all types of landlord and tenant issues. Helen is a member of the Academy of Experts and an accredited mediator.

Karim Mohamed.

Karim Mohamed

Karim advises on commercial litigation/dispute resolution but is nationally recognised as a specialist in negligence claims against professionals, being listed in the Legal Experts directory (2006) as 'highly recommended' in this area of practice. He has acted in a number of high profile and complex litigation cases up to the Court of Appeal. Karim is also an Accredited Mediator.

Lucy Tarrant.

Lucy Tarrant

Lucy is a member of the Litigation Team and leads the Debt Recovery Department. She acts for commercial clients and private clients in relation to any nature of dispute arising from a breach of contract or negligence. Lucy specialises in acting for the financial services industry, in particular asset based lending, and Insolvency Practitioners. Lucy also has experience in other fields including Intellectual Property, Defamation, un-insured defendant personal injury claims and elder abuse cases.

Steven Holt.

Steven Holt

Steven graduated in Law in 1998 and was Called to the Bar at Middle Temple in 2000. Since 2001, Steven has worked in private practise specialising in property disputes acting for both private and commercial landlords and tenants. Steven transferred to the Roll of Solicitors in July 2005. In addition to property work, Steven advises in all other areas of civil and commercial litigation including contract, negligence, contested probate and intellectual property and has acted for numerous national and international companies and various Local Authorities in the South of England.

Michael Mulcare.

Michael Mulcare

Michael joined the firm's Defendant Litigation team in 2007 having run an insurer's in-house legal team for the past year. Prior to that he was with the Treasury Solicitor's Ministry of Defence team, mainly defending a wide range of high value personal injury claims against the Forces and was involved in a substantial amount of Inquest work. He acted on the 6-month long Inquest relating to the death of a serviceman from exposure to a chemical warfare nerve agent at Porton Down in the 1950's and the subsequent judicial review proceedings and class actions. He also dealt with diving related deaths and advising the Defence Diving School. He has a considerable background in personal injury work.

Rebecca Pitt.

Rebecca Pitt

Rebecca qualified as a solicitor in September 2008 and has recently joined Mayo Wynne Baxter's litigation team. Her experience includes property disputes, commercial contract disputes, debt recovery,advising in relation to dilapidations and rights to light. She has also some experience in Alternative Dispute Resolution.

Neil Sorrell.

Neil Sorrell

Neil joined Mayo Wynne Baxter's Brighton office in April 2008 as a member of the firm's litigation team, specialising in debt recovery. Neil's previous experience includes roles at GMAC Commercial Finance PLC and asb law where he was part of a team that handled director disqualification proceedings on behalf of a Government department. His experience includes factoring, invoice discounting and the recruitment sector. Having worked for an in house legal team as well as private practice, Neil has a rounded understanding of how a law firm works and what it is like to instruct one, and therefore has an excellent understanding of client expectations.

Duncan Wilks.

Duncan Wilks

Duncan joined the Mayo Wynne Baxter litigation team in spring 2009 from a specialist commercial practice in London where he acted for both claimants and defendants. Duncan's experience includes cases involving breaches of contract, misrepresentation, landlord and tenant disputes and insolvency work.
